Farm Fun Day!

Our FIRST ever open house will take place on Saturday, July 29th.  Kids, Adults, Grandparents...everyone will love a look behind the scenes at what we're doing at Swazey Farms.  We will be hosting this event with our partners at Bears Head Preserve in Mays Landing.  Come get a look, up close and personal, at our beehives (Yes, we have a veil you can wear!).  See how the bees work within our hives and ask questions about pollination and where our food comes from.  We've also got chickens to pet, hold and photograph.  Or perhaps a nature walk is more your speed...  Charlene will be guiding a nature walk through the woods discussing native plants and their holistic properties.  If nature isn't your thing, step inside the barn and take a break where you can get hands on with some bee-keeping equipment.  Every paid child in attendance will receive an awesome Sugar Cookie Bee-House Kit to create on site or take home...tons of other crafts and games will keep everyone busy and you can even get a jump start on your garden and plant your own pot of native pollinators!  Admission gets you ALL this, plus some door prizes and a BBQ lunch with snacks and drinks!  You are not going to want to miss this event and tickets are limited so get yours today.
